Comparative whole body vibration measurements (rated vibrational strength) with selected commercial vehicles from the former GDR and former COMECON countries for detailed testing by occupational illness specialists

Project No. FFFF 0150

completed 05/1997

Inexplicable differences in the level of whole-body vibration values for commercial vehicles from the former GDR and the values for comparable West German vehicles. Goal: determining the cause of these differences

Comparative measurements using BIA-measurement technology for GDR vehicles under typical GDR road surface conditions

The results of both measuring processes (seat vibration) correspond with one another within the expected scale of accuracy; they correspond sufficiently with the mean values contained in the vibration database. Extreme values of uncertain origin should not be included in the catalogue.
