South Korean Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service at the DGUV
In July 2019, a group of 40 employees of the Korea Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service (COMWEL) completed a one-week course in Case Management at the DGUV Academy - the university and school of applied sciences of the DGUV, campus Hennef.

Train-the-trainer seminar on "occupational integration"
Managers and employees from the garment and leather industry in Bangladesh attended a train-the-trainer seminar on "occupational integration" (Betriebliches Eingliederungsmanagement/BEM) between 19 and 23 August 2019. It is part of the project "Employment Injury Protection Scheme for Workers in the Garment and Leather Industries", which the DGUV carries out with the support of GIZ in Bangladesh.

On 2 May 2019, a letter of intent was signed between the COMWEL and DGUV on one-week training course of the DGUV in case management on the Campus Hennef of the DGUV Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences (HGU).

10 years of Indo-German cooperation
10 years of Indo-German cooperation – a win win situation for all. That was the conclusion of Prof. Dr. Breuer, Director General of the German Social Accident Insurance at the end of the 10 years celebration on January 29, 2019 in Berlin. Successful approaches, experiences and projects of the cooperation of the German Social Accident Insurance with ministries and institutions in India in the field of occupational safety and health and social protection against work accidents and occupational diseases were presented and discussed. In both countries the access to social security for all, the influence of digitalization and technical progress on the world of work is high on the agenda.

Withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (Brexit)
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland today declared its intention to withdraw from the European Union (EU). European social legislation with respect to the United Kingdom nevertheless remains fully in force until the withdrawal has taken effect at the end of the transitional phase, which will normally last for two years.
