Training and qualification

In order for safety and health to be assured at work and during attendance of educational institutions, it is essential that employees, students and schoolchildren act in awareness of it. This particularly applies to persons tasked with specific workplace prevention activities, since only when these individuals perform their tasks effectively can occupational accidents, occupational diseases and work-related health hazards be avoided, and effective first aid assured. Health and safety training of individuals tasked with relevant activities at the workplace and initial and further training of the institutions' own personnel is therefore one of the most important functions of the German Social Accident Insurance Institutions. The training equips these individuals to perform their workplace prevention tasks effectively.
