Exchange with Moldavian social security institution CNAS on accident insurance

Dr. Joachim Breuer, Director General of the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) and president of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) met with Laura Grecu, president of the social security institution Casa Națională de Asigurări Sociale (CNAS), in Moldova for an exchange on social security issues. CNAS and DGUV will closer work together in the field of statutory accident insurance. Experts from Moldova will visit the German Social Accident Insurance to learn about the German social accident insurance system. Dr. Breuer also met the Moldovan minister of Labour, Stela Grigoras and the Prime Minister of Moldova, Pavel Filip. Dr. Breuer and Prime Minister Filip both agreed that growth in economy and a sustainable social security go hand in hand. Social security has to be strengthened and developed further to meet today’s challenges i.e. digitalization and new forms of work. They also shared the same conviction that investment in social security counts for everybody - companies, the insured persons and societies.
