In most cases occupational safety and health (OSH) in the workplace is regulated by law. This notwithstanding, many companies call the cost and benefit of prevention effort into question. The European Commission, German Federal Government and German federal states also deliberate not only the effectiveness of current laws and directives, but also the economic benefit of prevention effort.
