Ladies and Gentlemen

We are pleased to be able to offer you version 3.0.1 Build 1 of our free "SISTEMA" software ready for download!

The following innovations prompted us to make a major version upgrade:

• Numerous changes in the 4th edition (December 2023) of the basic safety standard for machine control systems ISO 13849-1 also necessitated significant changes in SISTEMA.
• SISTEMA 3.0 uses a more recent Firebird version (update from Firebird version 2.5 to 5.0).
• We were able to implement many suggestions for improvement that we had received in the meantime (e.g. the option of downgrading “yellow” messages to “green”)

You can download SISTEMA 3.0.1 Build 1 from our SISTEMA homepage.

SISTEMA 2.x projects are compatible and can be opened with SISTEMA version 3.0. The SISTEMA 3.0 file format is adapted during this process and is not backwards compatible afterwards. Details of the main new features in SISTEMA 3.0 can be found on our SISTEMA homepage in the document Innovations in SISTEMA 3.0 (PDF, 944 kB, accessible) .

All changes, adjustments and fixed errors are described in the readme file. The readme is displayed in SISTEMA by clicking on the "Projects" folder in the tree view of the navigation window.

The IFA Report “Functional safety of machine controls” will soon be published in its new edition as IFA Report 01/2025, also adapted to the new version of the standard. You will then find this document and other information on this topic on our known DIN EN ISO 13849 website. Please note that the report will initially be available in German only; an English version will follow at a later date.
